My love for Avon started long before I ever thought about selling it. As a teenager growing up in Trinidad, I remember using Avon’s skin-perfumed lotion, a scent that instantly made me feel elegant and grown-up. Those early experiences with Avon’s products left a lasting impression on me, associating the brand with beauty, self-care, and a little everyday luxury.
Years later, one of my best friends, who was a District Manager at Avon, would send me boxes filled with bath products, skincare essentials, and fragrances for my family and me. It was always a treat to receive those packages, but as someone who has never been known for patience, I decided I didn’t want to wait for my next Avon delivery—I wanted to have access to the products I loved whenever I wanted. So, in 2009, I signed up to become an Avon Ambassador, not to sell, but simply to purchase my favorite products at a discount.
What started as a personal convenience soon turned into an unexpected business opportunity.
